Global Family Alliance Meeting

Global Family Alliance Meeting April 2017

The inaugural gathering of the Global Family Alliance was held in Budapest, Hungary April 25-27th, 2017. As a result of the three days of talks, prayer and discussion, the Danubius strategic document was formulated.

Among other things it stated that: “God is stirring many denominations, agencies and networks with a global reach towards and emphasis on the vital importance of families in helping all God’s children to find life to the full. These three days in Budapest brought together some key representatives to seek God’s guidance and affirmation for an intentional collaborative strategy to bring about more effective change. Through the development of strong relationships built on unity of purpose, shared urgency and mutual trust, a commitment to the proposed Global Family Alliance would see a commitment to collective strength for global change

For the World Without Orphans movement, the family and the role of the family in the life of every child is one of the key cornerstones and an integral part of the WWO dream – to see every child growing up in a safe, stable and nurturing permanent family, and knowing their Heavenly Father.

The Global Family Alliance (GFA) is constituted by Christians committed to the urgent task of supporting and strengthening families.  Healthy households, supported by loving communities, provide the best possible foundation for all people to live fulfilled lives, which contribute to secure and stable societies, and the most nurturing environments in which to raise children.
